Newbie here. I am into modern blackwork. I have not been doing it for very long but am totally hooked. I love the geometrics involved + find the results can be quite dramatic. It takes up much less floss than cross stitch so is quute economical & can easily be adapted to other projects like clothing & bags. I am currently working on some Swiss designs, as that is where I am from. I have various other projects underway. The only problem is finding the time to do them all ! I tend to have phases on different crafts & have done mosaicing (finding wall tiles in skips !), making hats (recycling old clothes), knitting, crocheting & generally experimenting + playing around with textures & materials.

I like chatting to people all round the world about their projects + ideas.

I don't have time to do everything .. the housework tends to be bottom of the list as I get totally engrossed in my sewing . As much as I know already, there is always something new to try & learn before I get so old I can't sew, knit or crochet anymore. I shall be very sad when that happens (unless I go batty so don't remember that I used to be able to do it all !).
